How SPS Works
The Three Dimensions of Your Stellantis SPS Score
Unlike Ford Q1 (a certification) or GM QSB (an audit framework), Stellantis SPS is a score โ recalculated every quarter using your actual performance data across three dimensions. There is no pass-once-and-maintain. The score resets every 90 days.
Quality
PPM, warranty returns, and field escapes. Warranty returns carry disproportionate weight โ a single field return signals systemic detection failure and impacts the quality score significantly more than PPM exceedances alone.

Delivery
On-time delivery rate and premium freight incidents. Three or more premium freight events in a single quarter triggers an automatic SPS score reduction โ regardless of quality and OEE performance. Premium freight is Stellantis's indicator of operational instability.

Production Performance
OEE, downtime, and SMED compliance. Stellantis pays particular attention to changeover time for high-mix plants. SMED tracking with documented baseline, improvement trajectory, and standardised changeover procedures is expected from Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.

OEE Benchmarks
What "Good" OEE Looks Like for a Stellantis Supplier
Stellantis measures OEE against performance tiers for its Tier 1 and Tier 2 supply base. The benchmark is not a single threshold โ it's a band with clear consequences at each level.

At Risk
Important: Stellantis uses 90-day trend data โ not point-in-time measurements. A plant that hits 76% OEE on the last day of the quarter after running at 64% for 11 weeks will not be scored as a 76% plant. The trend is what the scorecard reflects. PlantPilot AI's OEE Dashboard shows your trend in real time โ so you can correct before the quarter closes, not after.
The SMED Factor
Why Changeover Time Is Stellantis's Most Underestimated Metric
For Tier 1 and Tier 2 plants running high-mix production on shared equipment, SMED compliance is a specific sub-metric within the SPS production performance dimension. Stellantis expects to see a documented changeover baseline, an active improvement trajectory, and standardised changeover procedures. A verbal "we've been working on our changeover times" doesn't satisfy the requirement. PlantPilot AI's Kaizen & Standard Work module documents SMED events, tracks changeover time trends against the baseline, and generates the standardised changeover SOPs Stellantis expects.
Real-Time OEE Dashboard
OEE tracked by department and line with 90-day trend data โ ranked by financial impact, not just reported. Stellantis-ready trend analysis updated every shift.

CI Agent โ Quarter Monitoring
PlantPilot AI's CI Agent monitors your SPS-relevant KPIs in real time โ alerting your team when OEE, PPM, or delivery metrics trend toward a quarterly threshold breach.

Stellantis SPS Quarterly Readiness Checklist
Review before the end of each quarter โ click to track completion.
- โOEE at or above 75% โ 90-day trend documented by line, not plant averageStellantis scores the trend, not the end-of-quarter snapshot. A downward trend arriving at 77% is viewed as a declining plant.
- โSMED program documented โ changeover baseline, current time, and target on recordStellantis expects formal SMED documentation. Verbal progress claims do not satisfy the SPS requirement.
- โPPM below Stellantis threshold โ verified with your STA contact this quarterConfirm your specific PPM threshold with your Stellantis STA contact โ it varies by commodity and program.
- โOn-time delivery above 98% โ fewer than 3 premium freight incidents this quarterThree or more premium freight events triggers an automatic SPS score reduction regardless of quality and OEE performance.
- โWarranty return data fed back into RCA and PFMEA updatesWarranty returns carry disproportionate weight in the SPS quality score. Every return should drive a PFMEA update.
- โActive CI project tied to OEE or PPM improvement โ documented baseline and targetStellantis expects at least one active improvement project with a clear baseline measurement and progress timeline.
- โAll Supplier Development plan action items current โ no open items past dueIf your plant is on a Supplier Development plan, missed milestones escalate automatically in Stellantis's system.
